YANKEE GENTLEMAN’s first crop weanlings averaged $105,286!
Individuals brought: $210,000, $165,000, $100,000, $85,000, $72,000.
Dan Liebman at the Blood-Horse had this to say:
“YANKEE GENTLEMAN turned some heads with members of his initial group of offspring…people must be thinking of him now with a $105,286 average, more than ten and half times his $10,000 stud fee. There were six (freshman) stallions with one or more weanlings sold to average six figures, and of that group, YANKEE GENTLEMAN had by far the highest average-to-stud-fee ratio. YANKEE GENTLEMAN also had the highest priced weanling by any first crop sire at the Faisg-Tipton Kentucky Sale”.
