The first foal by Airdrie Stud’s UPSTART, a millionaire son of leading sire Flatter, was born on January 19th. The bay colt was produced by Laters Babe at Sean Curtin’s Moonestone Farm in Paris, KY.
Laters Babe is a young half-sister to the Group 1 winning Argentinian Horse Of The Year, Second Reality, and to three individual stakes producers, including the dam of Wild Mia, a multiple Stakes-winning and four-time Graded-placed filly in the U.S. The Upstart colt is her second foal.
“He is a big, correct, good-looking colt. He looks very much like his daddy which is exactly what I was hoping for”, said his breeder, Sean Curtin.
A multiple GSW earner of over $1.7 million, Upstart bred 146 mares in 2017 and stands for $10,000 LFSN. For more information, contact Cormac Breathnach at Airdrie Stud.
