Two Years-Two Champions for Indian Charlie!

GI $2,000,000 Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies
Monmouth Park 10/27/07

This time last year, it was Indian Charlie’s brilliant daughter Fleet Indian who was en route to a year end Eclipse Award as the nation’s champion older mare.  This year, there will assuradely be another daughter of Indian Charlie honored at the annual awards dinner; the undefeated and unchallenged Indian Blessing.  A dominant winner of all three of her starts this season, Indian Blessing put an exclamation mark on her brilliant campaign with an emphatic, runaway victory in the GI $2,000,000 Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies.  Her victory caps another banner year for her sire Indian Charlie, who, in addition to Indian Blessing’s heroism, has already been represented by 9 stakes winners in 2007, 3 juvenile stakes winners, and 15 yearlings that have brought $130,000 or more in the sales ring, leaving no doubt that he has truly arrived as a top tier stallion.

Congratulations to all of Indian Blessing’s championship connections, including owner/breeder Hal and Patti Earnhardt, trainer Bob Baffert and jockey Garret Gomez.

Airdrie would also like to thank all the breeders that have helped support Indian Charlie throughout his career and have helped him ascend to the upper echelon of the stallion ranks….Thank You!
