Ten Most Wanted Wins The National Jockey Club Handicap!

April 17, 2004 Hawthorne, $250,000 NATIONAL JOCKEY CLUB HANDICAP (G3), 1 1/8 m.

TEN MOST WANTED, the winner of the G2 Illinois Derby, G2 Super Derby, and the G1 Travers Stakes last year, finished his sophomore season with a disastrous trip in the Breeder’s Cup Classic finishing eighth. 2004 started where 2003 left off with the G2 New Orleans Handicap at the Fair Grounds where TEN MOST WANTED was forced wide in the first turn and never got into the race finishing a distant fifth.

Fortunately this time he finally had a clean trip, bided his time in third then made his move at the top of the stretch to win easily by 6 3/4 lengths. Lifetime record: 13-5-3-1 with earnings of $1,718,460.

Congratulations to trainer Wally Dollase and owners James Chisholm, Michael Jarvis, and J. Paul Reddam et al.
