STORMIN FEVER’S UNDEFEATED MISTY ROSETTE DAZZLES IN THE GRADE III OLD HAT STAKES!

$100,000 GIII Old Hat S.
Gulfstream Park 6 1/2 f 1:16

On a Saturday card meant to showcase the top Florida based three year olds, few if any shone brighter than Stormin Fever’s undefeated filly Misty Rosette.  Though undefeated and a stakes record holder in her first two starts, Misty Rosette was no better than the fourth choice in the betting behind the undefeated graded stakes winner Miraculous Miss and Forest Camp’s undefeated filly Yachats, the race time favorite.  Though battling head and head through a blistering half mile in a near 44 seconds flat, Misty Rosette rebroke in the stretch to win by four lengths under wraps in an eye-popping 1:16 flat for the 6 1/2 furlongs.  Her sensational score was no surprise to her beaming trainer James Chapman, “She’s been running like this all along.  We havn’t even asked her to open up yet.  I wasn’t worried about her because she’s bigger and stronger than most three year old fillies right now.  Our goal with her is to make the Kentucky Oaks.”  A full sister to Stormin Fever’s brilliant GII winner Storm Wolf,  the Airdrie Stud homebred Misty Rosette has established herself as one of the break out three year olds on the Kentucky Oaks trail!

Congratulations to owners Sonia Chapman and Stuart Tsujimoto, trainer James Chapman and jockey Sebastian Madrid!
