A colt by leading Fourth-Crop sire Cairo Prince was among the top five sellers during Tuesday’s opening session of the OBS 2-year-olds in Training Sale, bringing a winning bid of $525,000.
consigned by Robbie Harris’s Harris Training Center LLC, Agent VI, hip No. 188 went to agent Emmanuel de Seroux of Narvick International.
The dark bay colt had breezed a bullet :09 4/5 for a furlong during the Under Tack show.
“We thought he was a lovely horse; a good mover on the track and very athletic with a nice racing future. We loved the horse. We were obviously hoping to get him a little cheaper, but there was some competition.” de Seroux said.
Bred by Cairo Prince’s co-owner Namcook Stables, the colt is the first foal out of multiple stakes-placed Sadie Be Good.
Cairo Prince is the nation’s leading Fourth-Crop sire with 33 wins and a pair of stakes winners to date.
The OBS sale concludes Wednesday, with Cairo Prince having four lots scheduled to go through the ring.
