A day after Slew City Slew had a 2YO filly win a stake by 16 lengths, Slew City Slew did it again this time with 3YO gelding LAVA MAN who won Fairplex Park’s Derby Trial Stakes by 6 1/4 lengths.
LAVA MAN saved ground early in the 1 1/16 mile test, he moved to the lead rounding the final turn and pulled away steadily under a hand ride, crossing the wire a clear 6 1/14 lengths in front in a time of 1:43.
