The undefeated, and wholly untested, Trickmeiseter put on another brilliant display Friday with a truly authoritative 10 length win in Saratoga’s Pleasant Colony Stakes. Bringing his record to a perfect 4 for 4, Trickmeister cemented his name atop the list of the nation’s most exciting 3-year-old colts and continues to give every indication that he is a true star in the making. Early indications are that he will put his undefeated record to the GII $1 million Pennsylvania Derby for his next start.
However, Trickmeister was not Proud Citizen’s only breakthrough performer at Saratoga, as his talented son Fiddler’s Patriot, remarkably making his first grass start, set a new Saratoga stakes record on Monday in his facile, 5-length allowance romp, running 5 1/2 furlongs in a remarkable 1:00 2/5…yet another Proud Citizen with a very bright future indeed.
