POP THE CORK: HARLAN’S HOLIDAY CONTINUES HIS REMARKABLE RUN!

Harlan’s Holiday Quickly Becomes the Unquestioned Leader of his Stallion Crop

It did not take long last year for Harlan’s Holiday to establish himself as one of the hottest young sires in the country en route to a second place finish among the Nation’s first crop sires.  This year, Harlan’s Holiday has ascended into a class all his own, as his first crop 3yo’s are the talk of the triple crown trail.  In a remarkable NINE day period from February 9th through the 18th, Harlan’s Holdiday enjoyed an unprecedented run of success that has made him one of the most exciting young stallions in the world:

2/18- The undefeated Denis of Cork instantly establishes himself as one of the early favorites for the Kentucky Derby with a brilliant turn of foot in landing the GIII $250,000  Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn Park.  A Triple Crown buzz horse since the day he broke his maiden in spectacular fashion in his November debut at Churchill, the David Carroll trainee is slated to make his next start in the GIII Rebel Stakes as he continues his march back to Churchill Downs.

2/16- Cot Campbell’s Dogwood Stables looks to have yet another colt on the Derby trail after their colt Holidaze effortlessly took a tough Aqueduct allowance over the weekend.  A stakes performer at 2, Holidaze looks to have progressed beautifully into his sophomore campaign and is slated for a Triple Crown prep in his next start for top trainer Todd Pletcher.

2/10- GI winner Into Mischief, the diamond of Harlan’s Holiday’s first crop juveniles got off to a fine start for his Triple Crown campaign in running a strong 2nd in the GII San Vicente in a race that leading trainer Richard Mandella pronounced was merely a stepping stone to bigger things.  Already a GI winner around two turns, the 7f San Vicente should represent an ideal prep for a sophomore campaign with limitless potential.

2/09- Like Into Mischief, graded stakes winning juvenile Tasha’s Miracle was making her first start of the year when ambitiously placed in the GI Las Virgenes Stakes at Santa Anita.  Her nice middle move and third place finish seem to signify that she too has made the proper transition into her 3-year-old year and represents another potential star for Harlan’s Holiday in what has quickly become an absolutely sensational 2008!

Congratulations to all the connections of these rising stars!
