This handsome Mandella trained colt with an eyecatching white blaze has everyone talking. Breaking his maiden in his first start in Santa Anita’s Oak Tree meet in late October, he made his next outing in the Grade 3 Hollywood Prevue on Thanksgiving weekend. That race saw him battle with Massive Drama through 7 furlongs to be second best at the wire. Stretching to 1 1/16 miles for the Futurity Into Mischief was smoothly away from the stalls and sent to the front where he kept pace a neck outside of the pace setter. Espinoza sent him to the lead at the top of the stretch and the big scopey colt looked fresh and strong in his journey to the wire holding off Colonel John and Massive Drama by 1 1/4.
A fantastic race for Mandella who says B. Wayne Hughes colt will only get smarter going forward.
