SAMURAI TIGERS – a 2004 colt by INDIAN CHARLIE out of the mare PEAR SHAPE made a super effort in his first stakes try running 3rd in the Kisaragi Sh Open Class Grade 3 race at Kyoto on Feb 11th.
After being sold to Yamamoto Hidetoshi at the Fasig-Tipton Select two-year-old-in-training sale at Calder last February for $1,200,000 the colt made just 2 starts in October and November in Japan breaking his maiden in his second start in a Maiden special weight. Dropped into Graded stakes company his next start the colt was just 1 3/4 lengths back at the finish of the 9 furlong stake.
Most recently on 3/4/07 Samurai Tigers was 5th in a Grade 2 and has earnings of $194,655.
