Bloomin Perfect led all the way in Sunday’s $50,000 Gold Rush Futurity to give the 2-year-old Majesticperfection filly her second consecutive stakes win and third victory in four lifetime starts.
The front-running, 2 3/4-length score over colts was different than last month’s victory in the Arapahoe Debutante, which she won from off the pace. On Sunday, she got pressure from Our Bubby Boy for the first half-mile, but he wilted after that, leaving Bloomin Perfect in complete control from then on. She wrapped up the distance in 1:11.62 on a fast track (VIDEO).
Bloomin Perfect is owned by her breeders Doug and Sarah Oliver. Her dam Gumdrop Falls is a sister to multiple stakes winners Chick Fight and Blumin Beauty.
Majesticperfection has a double-digit number of stakes horses this year, while winners from starters is better than 55%.
