LOVELY AFTERNOON, winner of the Blue Mountain Juvenile S. last November, broke out of post position 2 to race three wide. Catboat went to lead in the stretch only to be caught in the final strides by Lovely Afternoon, matching stride for stride for a photo finish where the two horses appear as one. This is the first stakes victory for Lovely Afternoon.
