Indian Charlie’s Champion INDIAN BLESSING blows them away in the Gr.1 Test S. at Saratoga.

Indian Blessing proved herself the premier sprinter in the three old sprint divisions, with this awesome display in the historic Gr.1 Test S. at Saratoga.  The daughter of Indian Charlie has shown a new dimension to compliment her breathtaking speed in her last two starts. In the July 5th Gr.1 Prioress S. at Belmont, Indian Blessing came from just off the pace to gallop home an easy 5 ¼ length winner. She made it two Grade 1 victories in a row yesterday. Breaking from post 6 she relaxed easily two back from pace setter Palanka City down the backside, the champ soon took over at the head of the stretch with little urging from John Velazquez and powered away from the field under a hand ride to score by a widening 7 lengths. After the race trainer Bob Baffert said. “After that last race, we found a new dimension where she can relax, we were afraid to do it at first as we thought it might prove disastrous, but she has really matured. It’s fun to be in this situation.”

Congratulations to all the connections of this champion filly and best of luck with the upcoming campaign.
