K P Wildcat put in a sustained quarter-mile drive to win the $75,000 Zia Park Distaff on Nov. 22 to give the 4-year-old Include filly her fifth stakes victory and ninth win overall in just 14 lifetime starts.
The dark bay filly has been nearly perfect in 2017 as well, winning five of six races, with one second for her owner Karl Pergola. Include has eight U.S. stakes horses this year, well as Argentine Group 1 winner Samba Inc and Puerto Rican Grade 1 winner Mishegas.
In Thursday’s six-furlong sprint, K P Wildcat was near the back of the seven-horse field before commencing her rally with a six-wide move on the turn, running down Game Time Decision in deep stretch to win by a length in 1:09.50 on a fast track.
The winner upped her earnings to $373,636. She was bred in Kentucky by Cloyce Clark, Jr. and is from the same family as Frizette S. (G1) winner Balletto.
