SUL LAGO broke his maiden by 7 plus lengths in his first try here and was heavy favorite to remain undefeated. Bumped sharply at the start Sul Lago tracked the pace from 4th through the half but was allowed to slacken and lost momentum and position around the turn. When finally jockey Nolan cranked it up through the stretch the colt came flying down the lane and was up for second late.
