July 29th – Goodwood
Peugeot Gordon Stakes (G3)
Hawk Flyer and all other 10 runners in this race hold an entry for the St. Leger, and indeed it turned out to be a key trial. After being badly hampered in midfield and dropping back to last, Hawk Flyer was driven wide to take the lead 1f out and was just headed in the last 150 yards to finish 3rd by 1/2 length.
Trainer Sir Michael Stoute has him entered next in the Great Voltiguer at York on Aug. 19th.
