Multiple Stakes Winner GOLDEN COMMANDER, winner of last years West Point Hcp. at Saratoga, most recently ran second in an allowance to Pa Pa Da and he squarely beat that favorite today.
GOLDEN COMMANDER broke from post 1 and had a ground saving trip along the inside. He angled out for the drive at the top of the stretch and quickly drew off in the final furlong for a four length tally, stopping the clock in a course record time of 1:45.1.
