FOREST CAMP’S PERFECT DAY PUNCTUATED BY HELLO LIBERTY’S STAKES ROMP!

$75,000 Peach Blossom S.
Delaware Park,  6f 1:10 3/5

Hello Liberty, a stakes placed juvenile of 2005, got her overdue first stakes win in grand style by taking the Peach Blossom by a widening 3 lengths.  Taking over in the turn, the Airdrie bred daughter of Forest Camp ran away from 1-2 favorite Celestial Legend to record an easy victory- her third in six starts.  Her win marked the third stakes winner from Forest Camp’s still very young first crop and further validated his place as one of the country’s hottest young stallions.  The leading two year old sales sire for his crop in 2006, Forest Camp shows no signs of slowing down after his record breaking freshman year of 2005.

Congratulations to owners John S. Ferris, Mike Riley, David Gamble, owner/trainer Larry Jones and jockey Ramon Dominguez!

Forest Camp’s Perfect Day

Not to be overlooked in the face of Hello Liberty’s performance were Forest Camp’s other two starters on the day, who both cruised to wins on Saturday!  The Mike Ryan owned/Richard Dutrow trained Old Schoolhouse Road starred in Gulfstream by breaking his maiden second out in an easy 2 3/4 length win as the 4/5 chalk.  This looks like a colt with a future.  As does El Campo, who was also victorious on Forest Camp’s big day in recording his second win in just three starts.  Congratulations to all connections.
