DAZZLING DEREK, a $42,000 Timonium yearling purchase for Samantha Siegel’s Jay Em Ess Stable did definately dazzle in his debut. Sent off the heavy 7-5 favorite he recovered quickly from a stumbling start and rushed up to set the pace. With a clear lead going into the lane he sailed on home by 3 1/2 lengths with Raphael Bejarano on board for trainer Richard Dutrow.
