The 3-year-old Creative Cause filly has been nearly perfect in eight lifetime starts, winning six, with her two losses coming by a head and a half-length. The gray or roan filly has now earned $157,780 for owner Huntertown Farm LLC.
Saturday’s win came at the expense of Bridging the Gap, who Star of Night battled with the entire 1 1/8-mile trip, ultimately winning by a half-length over her older foe.
Star of Night was bred by Heinz Steinmann and is from the family of Grade 1 winner Snow Ridge.
