CAUSE FOR EXCITEMENT: CREATIVE CAUSE’S FIRST TWO-YEAR-OLDS ARE COMING OUT RUNNING

It’s the rare racehorse that can stand in the top tier of his generation at both 2 and 3, but Creative Cause did just that.  A Grade 1 winner and Eclipse Finalist at 2, Creative Cause trained on to be one of the best sophomore colts in the country- defeating Bodemeister in the Grade 2 San Felipe and finishing just a nose short of Kentucky Derby hero I’ll Have Another in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby.  At stud, it looks as though his progeny are already following in his precocious hoofsteps.  His first starter, Milton Freewater, took the first California maiden special weight of the season, winning the $45,000 contest with an impressive late burst of speed.  Since then, he has already had two other juveniles make promising debuts with 3rd place efforts that have them poised to move forward in their next starts.  And with each of these two-year-olds sitting back and finishing well in their races, the Creative Cause juveniles are showing the right signs that, like their sire, they can only improve with age.
