Cairo Prince colt sells for $420,000 at F-T Saratoga Sale

Cairo Prince had his best results of this summer’s yearling auction sales season during Monday evening’s session of the Aug. 7-8 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearlings sale when a colt from his first crop brought a winning bid of $425,000.

Cromwell Bloodstock was the winning bidder on hip No. 91, which was consigned by Select Sales as agent for Machmer Hall.

The dark bay juvenile is out of Unbridled Mistress, who is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Twilight Time and a full sister to stakes winner Uninhibited Song.

With 20 yearlings sold thus far in 2017, Cairo Prince’s sales average of $106,900 is more than 10 times his bred-on stud fee.
