Beck, Cooper, Jones Re-Elected to Breeders’ Cup Board

Beck has run operations at Gainesway since the mid-1990s, expanding, transforming, and beautifying the property into one of the premier farms in Central Kentucky. Beck has been instrumental in acquiring and managing successful stallions such as Empire Maker, Mr. Greeley, and Tapit Cooper has led the global bloodstock operation of the Niarchos Family, also known in the United States as Flaxman Holdings, as their racing manager. He also has experience working at Thoroughbred farms in France and Argentina and has been employed by auction houses Fasig-Tipton and Goffs.

Jones was elected as a Breeders’ Cup member in 2010 and has served on the board of directors since 2011. A 2004 graduate of Sewanee University, Bret oversees operations at his family’s Airdrie Stud, a leading Thoroughbred nursery in Midway, Ky.

“We congratulate Antony, Alan, and Bret upon their re-election to the Board,” said Barbara Banke, chairman of Breeders’ Cup. “We look forward to their continued advice and counsel to the Company in many important initiatives, including critical areas of equine safety and welfare and further enhancing the growth and international impact of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.”
