Saturday, July 7th at Hollywood Park
Grade 1, $750,000 American Oaks Invitational Stakes.
Panty Raid gave rivals the slip as she powered home to win by 3/4 over a tough international field. Panty Raid won her debut at Saratoga last summer by 7 3/4 lengths, and in 2007 secured a game second place in the G3 Bourbonette Breeders’ Cup Stakes on Turfway’s polytrack before annexing Pimlico’s G2 Black Eyed Susan Stakes in her last outing on May 18th, again defeating Baroness Thatcher.
Jockey Edgar Prado said “It was a beautiful trip…when asked she really responded and showed that she loves the turf and can handle the distance without a problem.”
Lifetime: 6-4-1-0, $692,275. Congratulations to trainer Todd Pletcher and Owners Glencrest Farm.
