A NEW FRONTIER: TWO DOMINANT FIRST-CROP JUVENILE WINNERS FOR CANADIAN FRONTIER AT THE FAIR GROUNDS

Fair Grounds
$44,000 Allowance   6F

An impressive maiden winner at Delaware Park for trainer Larry Jones this summer, Canadian Frontier’s 2yo daughter On the Menu was making her return to racing in a tough $44,000 Allowance at Fair Grounds.  Always close to the pace, On the Menu never left a doubt in drawing away to an exceptionally impressive, 7 1/4 length win over the highly regarded Steve Asmussen trainee Heart Ashley.  Just as impressive was the sensational 93 Beyer Speed Figure with which her effort was rewarded.  Set to make her next start in stakes company, On The Menu looks a filly with a very bright future and is poised to continue her sire’s exciting start to his stud career.

Not to be overlooked on the same Fair Grounds’ card was the dominant performance of another Canadian Frontier, Proteus.  Facing a tough group of 2yos in a $42,000 Msw, Proteus dominated the competition by pulling away to a facile 5 1/4 length win in the 5 1/2F turf test.  Joining the impressive Banker’s Choice, who took a featured turf allowance at Keeneland in October as Canadian Frontier’s which have excelled over the grass, Proteus demonstrates both the precocity and versatility that Canadian Frontier is passing on to his offspring.

Congratulations to all the connections of these very exciting 2-year-olds!
