When a top runner heads to the stallion barn, there’s always the question of whether or not he will be able to replicate his brilliance in his offspring. So far, Majesticperfection’s first runners are giving every indication that his foals are up to the challenge of following in their sire’s massive hoofprints. Inarguably brilliant on the racetrack, Majesticperfection’s first-crop of two-year-olds has already featured three colts that appear to have inherited their sire’s tremendous talent.
His most recent success came yesterday, as his $250,000 two-year-old sale grad Hebbronville made his hefty price tag look like a bargain with a thoroughly dominant 5-length victory in his debut for trainer Lynn Whiting – stopping the clock in a blistering but geared down 51 flat and earning a monstrous 84 Beyer Speed Figure. This big performance closely follows the 8-length decimation of Majestic Affair’s debut rivals, an effort that earned him a 79 Beyer and 11 Ragozin Figure and the impressive stakes placing of Homer Matt in his first ever start against a tough field of southern California winners. Currently a Top 5 Freshman sire, Majesticperfection already has the look of a young stallion with a big future ahead of him.
Congratulations to all the connections of these exciting 2-year-olds and for all the breeders with a Majesticperfection foal en route to the racetrack!
