No second-crop sire in America is hotter than Airdrie Stud’s Majesticperfection, and he’s giving no indications that he’s going to cool off anytime soon. The only sire of his crop with 3 individual stakes winners in 2015, Majesticperfection registered the biggest win of his young stallion career when Airdrie’s Lovely Maria ran away with the historic Grade 1 $500,000 Ashland Stakes at Keeneland on Saturday- setting her up as one of the favorites for this year’s Grade 1 $1,000,000 Kentucky Oaks. The 3 1/4 length win came at the expense of two previous Grade 1 winners and has stamped Lovely Maria as one of the best fillies of her generation. With a first-crop Grade 1 winner under his belt this early and a slew of other impressive performers, including six stakes horses, Majesticperfection looks poised to follow in the considerable hoofprints of famed Airdrie stallion Harlan’s Holiday. Stay Tuned!
Airdrie would like to thank breeders Olin Gentry and Thomas Gaines, trainer Larry Jones and jockey Kerwin Clark for all they’ve done to help get this talented filly to the top of her three-year-old division!
