#1 WITH A BULLET: MAJESTICPERFECTION IS AMERICA’S LEADING SECOND-CROP SIRE FOLLOWING LOVELY MARIA’S KENTUCKY OAKS WIN

Majesticperfection has officially moved to the head of the class.  Friday marked a huge day for all of us at Airdrie Stud and for our exciting young stallion as Majesticperfection’s first-crop daughter Lovely Maria took the historic Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks in brilliant fashion.  Showing the same tactical speed she employed in taking Keeneland’s Grade 1 Ashland Stakes in her previous race, Lovely Maria was ridden confidently by the ageless Kerwin Clark and strolled across the wire an unthreatened winner.  Lovely Maria’s win placed Majesticperfection atop the 2015 Second-Crop Sire List by both earnings and stakes winners- a truly impressive feat for a stallion that began his career for a stud fee of $10,000 and has considerably less starters than some of his contemporaries.  In fact, Lovely Maria was not alone in adding to Majesticperfection’s reputation, as he had two other fillies at Santa Anita place in stakes this weekend- giving him a fantastic 8 stakes horses from his debut crop.  Thank you to all the breeders that have helped make Majesticperfection one of the absolute hottest young stallions in America!

Airdrie would like to also send our biggest thank you to all those that helped in giving us this special Oaks win with Lovely Maria.  We believe Airdrie has the best staff in the thoroughbred industry, and Lovely Maria would not have been in that winner’s circle without all of the great men and women that work so hard daily at the farm. We are also very grateful to breeders Olin Gentry and Thomas Gaines and to the incomparable Larry Jones team and the great Kerwin Clark for not only all they’ve done for our horses, but for the truly great friendship they’ve given us along the way.  Thank you.
