ON THE PATH: ISTAN’S PATH OF DAVID ENDS 2015 WITH A STAKES WIN- POISED FOR BIG 3Y0 YEAR

North America’s last two-year-old stakes race of 2015 doubled as a coming out party for Istan’s talented son Path of David.  His impressive score in the Eddie Logan Stakes at Santa Anita on New Year’s Eve brings his record to a perfect two-for-two since having the ultimate equipment change, and the talented gelding looks to have a very big 3-year-old campaign ahead of him.  Now being pointed to the Grade III Robert B. Lewis Stakes, the Airdrie bred is officially a Kentucky Derby trail horse for owners Ike and Dawn Thrash and Sam and Janet Alley.  His win is just the latest headline for Istan, who continues to produce exceptionally talented runners despite his limited opportunities.  His average earnings per starter now stands at a hugely impressive $75,000 and his percentage of graded stakes winners/foals is higher than four of the stallions currently standing for more than $100,000.   It’s time to pay attention!!
