Majesticperfection’s 4-year-old filly Theperfectvow is now a three-time stakes winner following a courageous effort in Friday night’s $65,000 Hawkeyes H. at Prairie Meadows [WATCH RACE].
Majesticperfection already has seven stakes horses this year and is on track to far surpass his total of 2017. His biggest crop to date are 2-year-olds of 2018 as well, and he has registered one juvenile winner from just three starters to date.
Theperfectvow got a stalking trip in second in Friday’s 1 1/16-mile contest for fillies and mares, ultimately striking the front just outside the quarter pole. She got a stiff challenge late from Mywomanfromtokyo, but dug in to hold her off by a neck to secure the win.
Trained by Robertino Diodoro for River Ridge Ranch LLC, Theperfectvow won the Iowa Sorority at two and the Iowa Breeders’ Oaks last year. Her record now stands at 6-0-1 in 10 starts, with earnings of $243,611. She sold for $65,000 at a yearling at the Keeneland September sale.
