Include’s Grade 1 winner Mishegas shipped to Gulfstream Park on Dec. 8 and easily handled an overmatched field in the $77,500 Invitational Cup, rolling to a 10 1/4-length win in the 1 1/4-mile contest.
The 5-year-old, who is based in Puerto Rico, has a dynamic 11-4-5 record from 31 starts, with $375,316 in earnings for owner Oscar Diaz.
Include now has 17 black type horses in 2018 and more than $54 million in lifetime progeny earnings.
After stalking the pace for about seven furlongs, Mishegas assumed command and drew off in the stretch and was on cruise control in the final sixteenth to score his largest margin of victory to date.
Mishegas, out of the Golden Missile mare Peachez’n’Kreme, was bred in Kentucky by Abdul Samet Tekin.
