Significant Form takes Noble Damsel S. (G3) for third graded win of ’19

Creative Cause’s brilliant 4-year-old filly Significant From won for the third time in four starts this year in Saturday’s $200,000 Nobel Damsel S. (G3) at Belmont Park. All three wins have come in graded stakes, and she now has four grade wins lifetime.

Saturday’s win upped her earnings to $804,865 for owner Stephanie Seymour Brant. Significant Form sold for $575,000 at the 2017 OBS 2-year-old Sale.

Ridden by John Velazquez, Significant Form was three-wide and just off the pace through a half-mile in :46.78. Ranging up along side Valedictorian with a quarter-mile to run, Significant Form drew clear quickly when shaken up by Velazquez and came home much the best by 2 3/4-lengths in 1:338.48 for the mile on the firm turf.

“Once she found that distance, she’s really effective,” said Whit Beckman, assistant to trainer Chad Brown. “She’s had a great year and has come back as a really nice 4-year-old. Once you get her at her optimal distance and get her in her rhythm and a cycle, she shows up for you.”

Significant Form won the Miss Grillo S. (G3) and was a close fourth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) at two, then an easy winner at three in the Memories of Silver S. Bred by Brereton Jones out of the Harlan’s Holiday mare Church by the Sea, she is a half-sister to Commonwealth Turf S. (G3) winner Hay Dakota.
