Veteran stakes performer Net Gain collected his third career win in the $65,000 Cyclone S. on Saturday night at Prairie Meadows to give the venerable son of Include his fifth overall stakes victory and 15th stakes placing in an incredible 62 lifetime starts.
The 9-year-old won the 1 1/16-mile race by a length after sitting some ten lengths off the lead at the half-way point. After a three-wide rally on the turn, he wore down Chacha Real Smooth to win by a lengths.
Net Gain is owned by Claim to Fame Stable and has now earned $565,398. He was bred by Lane Thoroughbred and is out of Triple o’ Five, also the dam of stakes winners Kram and Cat Five’ O. His second dam, Stormy Pick, won the Spinaway S. (G1).
