DEPUTY COMMANDER – Leading 2nd Crop Sire!

With Brancusi‘s game 2nd place finish in the Blue Grass Stakes (G1) at Keeneland on April 12th, Deputy Commander has sprinted to the top of the Leading 2nd Crop Sire list!

While Brancusi was solidifying his place among Kentucky Derby participants, a three year old colt named River Mountain Road broke his maiden at Oaklawn by 8 3/4 lengths in a 1 1/16 mile contest! He was clocked at the mile marker in 1:36.3, while the winner of the Northern Spur Stakes later in the day finished the mile race in 1:37!

With three potential Classic runners the first weekend in May – two colts and one filly, Deputy Commander‘s lead may expand!
