Belmont Park, September 27th – Taking his time early in the back of the pack, Deeliteful Irving inched forward along the inside amongst traffic in the upper stretch. Sqeezing through on the rail at the 1/8th pole, he finished strongly for 2nd ahead of stablemate Balto Star in the G1 Turf Classic Invitational!
Last year, Deeliteful Irving won the G2 Pan American Handicap and has made this 2nd start in 2003 a bold effort in G1 company. Owned by Antsu Stables and trained by Michael Dickinson, the 5yo has increased his earnings in 12 starts to $464,472!
