Von Hemel she was sent off 2-1 favorite by the crowd, the only filly in a field of 8 other colts, and she did not disappoint – grabbing the lead at the break she hugged the rail, added another gear at the top of the stretch and flew clear down the lane to win by 6 1/2 lengths and stop the clock at :58 4/5.
