Grade 2 – El Encino Stakes at Santa Anita.
TARLOW made it back to the track in August 2004 and quickly proved she was ready to compete a the top level again, winning an allowance at Hollywood in early November. Stretching out to 1 1/16 miles here, she sped to the early lead, set the pace off the rail, battled between foes past midstretch but cold not match the top pair late and settled for third place four lengths ahead of the field. Record 8-2-3-1, earnings $139,740.
