Previously a stakes winner at Churchill at the conclusion of her 2YO season SWEET TALKER was third in her most recent stakes try in the Apalachian Stakes at Keeneland on April 24th. Trying the turf again here and a tick further, she was nicely placed inside and saved ground behind the early speed. Sweet Talker took command at the five sixteenths pole quickly opening up four lengths and remained hard ridden while being pressed from behind in the closing stages to hold on for a 3/4 length victory.
