STORMIN FEVER’S SECOND G1 WINNER OF 2005!

G1 $500,000 QUEEN ELIZABETH CHALLENGE CUP.
KEENELAND, 1 1/8M TURF.

Sweet Talker, already a multiple Churchill Downs stakes winner, took the next stride towards the top of the three year old turf filly division with a courageous victory in Keeneland’s Grade 1 fixture, the $500,000 Queen Elizabeth Challenge Cup.  Facing a sterling field of both American and European standouts, Sweet Talker proved she could not be outfought in repelling a variety of challengers in the Keeneland stretch.  Sweet Talker represents the second Grade 1 winner for her sire Stormin Fever in 2005 alone, joining the G1 Santa Margarita heroine Tarlow.  Stormin Fever is also represented in 2005 by the ultrafast G2 winner Storm Wolf.  Currently, Stormin Fever ranks #3 on the third crop sire list, ahead of such notables as Forestry and Stravinsky.

Congratulations to owners Eliah and Lisa Kahn, trainer Helen Pitts, jockey Rafael Bejarano and former conditioner Kenny McPeek!
