I’m the Tiger, Siphon’s blistering fast son, earned his first Grade 1 victory in dominating Laurel’s Grade 1 Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash on Saturday. Making just his third start since being transferred to Bobby Frankel’s barn, I’m the Tiger led Jerry Bailey on a nearly effortless ride in finishing 3 1/4 lengths clear of race favorite Tiger Heart. A very impressed Frankel commented after the performance that I’m the Tiger “is definitely one of the top five sprinters in the country.” I’m the Tiger joins Siphon’s immensely talented son Siphonic as Grade 1 winners in the United States.
