With an exciting win yesterday 3YO filly SWEET BELLE trained by Wally Dollase for Horizon Stable is stepping up to the big leagues, according to Dollase who plans to start her next in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Oaks on March 12th.
SWEET BELLE was a fast closing second in her 2YO debut at Churchill Downs and she has been an effortless winner of her last two starts. During the one mile trip in the $52,800 Allowance, jockey Corey Nakatani sat motionless as she pulled herself into contention on the far turn, collared the leader Easy Slam (Grand Slam) and wore her down widening with every stride to prevail by 3 1/2 lengths.
