FOREST CAMP FILLY DEFEATS 2YO CHAMPION TO BECOME SIRE’S 4TH STAKES WINNER!

$125,000 Star Shoot S.
Woodbine, 6 f

Unfazed by the presence of Canadian 2yo champion juvenile Knight’s Templar, Forest Camp’s daughter SUMMER GIRLFRIEND became her sire’s 4th stakes winner from his still very young first crop in taking the $125,000 feature at Woodbine.  A winner of two of three as a juvenile, Summer Girlfriend took control from the opening call and was never seriously threatened by last year’s champion through the stretch.  Trailing only El Corredor in number of stakes winners and leading all sophomore sires by graded stakes winners and number of repeat winners, Forest Camp continues to be one of the hottest young sires in the stud book!

Congratulations to owner Equilease Racing Stable, breeders Kim and Rodney Nardelli, trainer John Charlambous and jockey Gerry Olguin!
