LOVERS SPAT, a Graham Motion trained filly put on a fine performance in her debut to come from behind and defeat an experienced field in her first start. Sent off the 4th choice in her bow she bid three wide into the stretch and held on well while the favorite Jenny’s Rose drew off by 3 mid-stretch, then came on again to run that one down late on the outside and take the wire clear by 1 1/2.
