Bear Stables’ Bear Holiday scores in Silver Deputy Stakes.

Toronto – Woodbine 8/25/07
$100,000 Silver Deputy Stakes, 6 1/2 furlongs.

Reade Baker trained Bear Holiday, by freshman sire Harlan’s Holiday, notched his third consecutive victory and his second stakes score in Saturday’s Silver Deputy Stakes at Woodbine.  Trainer Reade Baker pointed at his $250,000 auction price to express the high expectations the connections have for the colt.  “For a quarter of a million, that’s what you are supposed to get, right?…..he could be a good horse.”

Jockey Jerry Baird, who also guided  the colt to a narrow victory in the Colin Stakes, said “He comes to a point where he knows how to win.  He nailed him (Stuck in Traffic) right there at the end.  I was just there to guide him around the track.”

Record: 3-3-0-0, $162,223.
