Allowance, 7 Furlongs
Proud Citizen’s super star in the making, Motovato, left the crowd absolutely awestruck, with his dazzling 15 length win in a tough allowance at Calder. Making his first start for trainer Martin Wolfson, Motovato took the lead with ease after the half and went on to score in a hand ride. The final time for the seven furlongs was just 2/5 of a second off the track record! The colt earned a 111 Beyer, which is the highest of any 3yo to race this season, and the 3rd highest of any horse in training! Congratulations to all the connections and good luck with a colt that seems poised to make a big impact on the major races this season!

Just a day later Proud Citizen’s son, Instill added to his impressive record. A dominant 5 length winner of last season’s $100,000 Jim Edgar Futurity, Instill proved his 3yo campaign will be one to watch in taking this $100,000 feature stake at Hawthorne, Headed deep in the stretch, Instill fought back with great tenacity to win going away at the wire. Like so many of the Proud Citizen’s, Instill continues to improve with age and distance and has stamped himself as yet another top 3yo for his sensational young sire. Congratulations to all the connections of this highly promising Colt!
