STRONGLY WORDED: CANADIAN FRONTIER’S NO SUCH WORD EASILY TAKES THE GI GAZELLE STAKES!

GI $250,000 Gazelle S
Aqueduct 1 1/8M

Having won multiple graded stakes this year, beaten the highly regared Havre De Grace and run competitively against leading sophomore filly Blind Luck, No Such Word seemed deserving of taking her first Grade 1 prize- and she did it in the easiest of manners in Saturday’s Grade 1 Gazelle Stakes at Aqueduct.  Sent off the solid 9-5 favorite, No Such Word was wide around both turns but never seemed threatened throughout the race in besting her overmatched rivals by a comfortable 2 1/2 lengths.  Trained and ridden to perfection by Cindy Jones and Terry Thompson respectively, No Such Word will enter 2011 as one of the highest regared older mares in training and should continue to grab headlines for her vastly underrated sire Canadian Frontier.  From Canadian Frontier’s second crop of 3-year-olds, No Such Word represents one of the already 4 stakes winners from a crop that included only 41 named foals, and also includes recent Keeneland GII winner Hilda’s Passion.

An Airdrie Stud homebred, we would like to thank the entire Jones training team, Terry Thompson and all the great staff here at the farm for helping us have a truly perfect day with this great filly…and we believe her best days are still ahead of her!
