Already in the running for the title of the nation’s fastest female sprinter going in to Saturday’s Grade II Inside Information Stakes at Gulfstream, Canadian’s Frontier’s Hilda’s Passion exited the race with a strong argument as the nation’s fleetest sprinter period. Always comfortable despite carving out a lightening fast half mile in :44 flat, Hilda’s Passion was never threatened and only lengthened her advantage to win by an effortless 5 1/4 lengths. Her time, 7 Furlongs in 1:20 2/5 broke champion sprinter Big Drama’s track record by more than 2 lengths and was good for a sensational 108 Beyer Speed Figure. A three-time graded stakes winner and one of already FOUR stakes winners from Canadian Frontier’s 43 foal second crop- a group that also includes GI winner No Such Word- Hilda’s Passion is being pointed to the GI Humana Distaff on Kentucky Derby Day.
Congratulations to owners Starlight Partners and C.E. Glasscock, breeders Mr and Mrs Theodore Kuster and trainer Todd Pletcher!
