PASSION IN THE BIG APPLE: CANADIAN FRONTIER’S BRILLIANT HILDA’S PASSION DOMINATES BELMONT’S GRADE II VAGRANCY H.

Already largely acknowledged as the nation’s fastest female sprinter, Canadian Frontier’s Hilda’s Passion took another step towards a year-end Eclipse Award with a dazzling display in Belmont’s Grade II Vagrancy Handicap.  Despite having to spot her rivals between six and ten pounds, Hilda’s Passion looked a winner from the moment the gates opened, and the ease of her 5 1/4 length win was made all the more impressive when the Belmont tote board flashed the final time of the race, 1:14 and 4/5ths for the six and a half furlongs.  Just 2/5ths off the historic track’s track record, the time was good for a sensational 108 Beyer Speed Figure.

Congratulations to owners Starlight Partners and C.E Glasscock, breeders Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Kuster and trainer Todd Pletcher on this truly special filly!
