As expected, Proud Citizen’s talented 4-year-olds Believe You Can and Mark Valeski both took home the top honors for older horses for the recently concluded Fair Grounds meet. Believe You Can, undefeated in her two stakes starts at the New Orleans track, was named the meet’s top older female, while Mark Valeski’s Fair Grounds resume, highlighted by his win in the GIII Mineshaft Handicap, earned him the title of top older horse.
Trained by the incomparable Larry Jones team, these two Airdrie homebreds are being pointed towards the top races for older horses in their respective divisions thoughout this 2013 season.
